A favourite of many elite piano players the WKG59 does not disappoint. Its perfectly even touch match keys to fingers precisely. At any speed at any leisure this Knabe grand piano suits all pianists. It features a tapered and contoured solid spruce soundboard made of specially selected white spruce from the particular region of Eastern Canada.
The frame construction is reinforced by maple and oak rim with spruce beams and its tenons are joined to the rim with hardwood dowels. The Knabe piano factory uses the most sophisticated machinery to create selected hard rock maple bridges with maple caps all individually shaped and notched. Its ribs are full length pre-crowned solid spruce which are notched into the inner rim. A pure iron ore plate is one that will last a lifetime forged in the traditional method of slow sand casting. Its German scale is one of measured duplex low tension designed by Klaus Fenner©.
The WKG59 features the exceptional Renner© action made of European hornbeam. Its keys are Pratt Reed© premium spruce keys which have been individually balanced and weighed. Its hammers are premium German Renner© blue label hammers t-wired and individually voiced. The 100% made in Germany Roslau© strings certify the WKG59 European sound quality.
Using 16 ply the cross grained laminated hard rock maple assures the even gripping of the pins and prevents splitting. German Diamond© brand tuning pins made of rod steel you are getting the best calibre pins. Additionally the WKG59 includes a slow close fallboard hand rubbed lacquer finish maple legs with iron interlocks forged brass pedals full sostenuto solid brass hardware and large solid brass castors.
